When you know your clients you are able to hook their attention better.

Put yourself in your client's shoes and think about what they like, what they are after, what kind of feeling fulfills their emotional needs and how you can answer these needs better.

For example - if your coffee shop is located in an urban area you are most likely to get customers who come to your place to enjoy your Wi-Fi or manage meetings with their colleagues. You’ll probably better have Jazz music in the background and lean toward modern design.


If the design of your logo cups and coffee shop will be inspired by country music and culture your business will be most likely to fail because it doesn't meet your client’s needs. On the other side, imagine a coffee shop in a small town far away from any urban areas where most of the citizens who live there are farmers.

Now country music in the background doesn’t sound so bad and Jazz music might be a little strange for your clients.


Always think how to provide experience that’ll fulfil your customer’s desires and they’ll be your forever.

We were taught that communication is the secret for a healthy relationship.

It is essential to find a way to hear your clients. Letters for recommendations, questionnaires, etc. are great ways to get feedback from your customers in order to enhance their experiences.

You’ll be very surprised of how simple and bright your clients’ ideas can be. After all, who understands your clients better than themselves?


3. Stay tuned

One aspect of branding is to gain loyal clients, another aspect is to create new ones. The world is changing faster than ever and we should be paying attention to trends. Being aware of trends allows us to understand what people are looking for at the moment and it also “hooks” more people to try your service or product. Use these trends creatively to benefit your business to help new clients find you.


4. Principles and vision

Imagine your business in 5 or 10 years from now. What do you see?

How is your business operated?

Will you do businesses only in store?

Will you have more presents online?

Will you offer deliveries?

Maybe a clothing line?

Outstanding desserts?

Perhaps you like to be known as the quickest server and be committed to the fastest or the kindest service. Maybe you'll have a lot of greenery with real trees in your shop.


These principles are the guidelines of your business and the reason your regular customers are coming back every time - do not take it from them.


It is a great idea to write your principles and look at your list every little while. It will allow you to update the list as necessary and adopt new marketing strategies coming out, keep up with trends, etc.

At the same time, it will help you remember what your business stands for and what your customers love about you.

If you own a brick and mortar shop or Selling online, you must find your way to stand out between all of the other businesses out there. It’s easy to get lost between all the great ideas, but to build a strong brand you must be consistent.

For example, look at Starbucks, McDonalds, Nike, Adidas, etc.. You can see their stores and products from far away and recognize them without meaning to do so.
